Lazy Chess: A Unique Chess Game for Casual Players and Enthusiasts
Lazy Chess is a free, non-profit game created for casual players and enthusiasts alike. This unique chess game challenges players to make the second best move available to them, as determined by Stockfish, the most robust chess engine in the world. With over 30 legal chess moves available in a turn, Lazy Chess compresses the possibilities by having players choose only two moves. The catch? Players won't know which move is the best!
In Lazy Chess, players can learn and have fun while competing against a highly skilled AI or online friends and random opponents. The game offers the opportunity to unlock new themes and settings that can change the number of options to choose from or the difficulty of the AI. As players hone their chess skills, they can also move up in the leaderboards and play unique scenarios of famous board states provided by some of the world's most active grandmasters.
Developed by Cinq-Mars Media, an educational non-profit with projects and games featured at E3, PAX, and festivals worldwide, Lazy Chess is open source and available on GitHub.
